Catherine Dicaire, B.Sc., Chemist

An outstanding trainer who is articulate and attentive to participants’ needs, Catherine is also active in the field, where her expertise in chemistry helps resolve the most complex fire investigation cases.

Catherine initially worked for a research firm, developing analytical methods and analyzing samples for major international pharmaceutical companies.

As a chemist and fire and explosion expert, she spent several years at the Laboratory of Forensic Science and Medicine (LSJML). She assisted the justice system in numerous arson cases and gained solid expertise in accelerant analysis. She was also responsible for scientific research and development for the LSJML’s forensic science division. She also teaches several training courses accredited by the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages (ChAD).
