Our free continuing education sessions are designed for claims adjusters, lawyers and any professional working in insurance, law or a related field who wants to deepen their knowledge of forensic investigation.

Yes. Training delivered by the Origin team is accredited by the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages du Québec and earns continuing education units (CEUs). Sessions may also be recognized by other professional associations. Learners must, however, submit the accreditation request to their own association themselves, in line with the applicable requirements.

Yes. All of our training is free, reflecting our commitment to sharing knowledge and to ongoing professional development.

Origin offers both interactive virtual training sessions and customizable in-person training events. Online sessions are delivered live via Zoom, while in-person training, tailored to the needs of a group or company, can be delivered at your offices or in our workshop, set up specially for the occasion.

Our training covers several areas of expertise related to losses and forensic investigation, including fire investigation, engineering disciplines such as electrical, civil and mechanical engineering, and materials, metallurgy and chemistry. Each session presents theoretical concepts along with practical examples drawn from real cases.

All training is delivered by Origin’s forensic experts, including engineers, chemists and technologists with extensive experience gained both in the field and in the laboratory.

All virtual sessions are one hour long. The corresponding CEU credits are indicated in each session description.

Yes. Origin offers customizable in-person training experiences that let organizations select themes to meet their specific needs. Some sessions in the selection are offered exclusively in person, so that participants receive content available nowhere else. You can submit a request by contacting us at formation@origin.expert or by clicking “Register your group”.

Yes. All participants who complete a session receive an attendance certificate along with a reference sheet covering some of the concepts addressed, plus the facilitator’s contact details. Registrations with the Chambre de l’assurance de dommages du Québec are handled automatically, and we make sure the corresponding continuing education units are added to your record.

No. Our training is designed to be accessible to professionals with varying levels of technical expertise. Content is presented clearly and focuses on practical concepts relevant to legal and insurance contexts.

Training follows a fall and winter schedule, published several months in advance, with a summer break. New spots are added regularly and new content is offered each year.
